Round Rock, Texas-based Dell, one of the world's top PC vendors, is preparing to launch its new Adamo laptop, which is said to be the world's thinnest portable computer system, boasting just 0.39 inches at its thinnest point. The laptop, which has been announced for quite a while now, is due out on October 22, the same day that Microsoft is expected to launch its much-anticipated Windows 7 operating system. Â Dell has been teasing with the Adamo XPS since early September, coming as an update to the company's new line of Adamo laptops, which debuted early this year. Up to this moment, the company has been very secretive regarding the exact specifications of the new machine, but it is expected to announce a full list of specifications, prices and availability on October 22, which is three days from now. Â However, according to a couple of leaked details that have surfaced on the Internet, the laptop will boast a thickness of just 0.39 inches and it will cost about US$2,000.!
