The main reason is that the boxed sales, which include instruments and have a higher profit margin, declined, while the sales of downloadable song packs have not grown enough to supplement that loss. The San Diego Comic-Con was in full swing last week, culminating with the weekend period when many video game-themed panels were held by major companies about franchises that enjoyed a cult-like following. One such example is the Resident Evil panel, which was held by Capcom and which enjoyed the presence of Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi. He took the stage and began to answer many of the fans' questions. One of them though made the developer a bit nervous. He was asked by a gamer about the possibilities of RE6 to be a complete series reboot for the horror survival franchise and if Takeuchi's team was already working on it. The Capcom producer was a bit vague in his answer, as he revealed that nobody had been chosen to produce the next Resident Evil game, and that he and fellow franchise veteran Masachika Kawata were playing blackjack in order to see who would end up at the helm of the project. Christophe Balestra, who is the co-president of developer Naughty Dog, has announced that its upcoming title, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, will not require the player to install it to the hard drive of the PlayStation 3. The new was delivered, in Web 2.0 fashion, via Twitter, as Balestra stated, quite clearly, that “Uncharted 2 does not require any install.”The statement from the official appeared because a typo on the box art of the game was widely cited as definite proof that Uncharted 2 would needing about 1.7 gigabytes of space before it can be played.It seems that this error will be corrected so that potential buyers are not put off by the space needed or by the potential long time the install might take.
