Santa Clara, California-based Intel, the world's largest manufacturer of computer processors, is expected to announce a significant change in the company's management, according to people familiar with the matter, cited in a recent news report. One of the major changes that will take place in the chip maker's executive organization will see Pat Gelsinger, the senior vice president in charge of the chip maker's enterprise group, leaving the company, after 30 years in which he took on various roles. The move will consequently lead to a couple of changes, seeing some of the company's current executives taking on more responsibilities. According to a report on the New York Times, Intel is about to announce a couple of management changes that will see Sales and Marketing Chief Sean Maloney taking on the company's major chip business, while Davi Perlmutter will be taking over the engineering for all chip divisions, a step forward from his current position as the head of Intel's l!
