PCWorld is informing that reports about MMS activation on the iPhone are beginning to surface, the earliest of which comes from Mediaite blogger Ash Kalb, who reported on Saturday that select U.S. iPhone customers now had MMS support. The blogger reported that MMS suddenly appeared on his phone soon after he had performed the iPhone OS 3.1 software update, released on Wednesday. Not long after Kalb's blog entry was posted, other US customers claimed MMS had arrived for them as well. The great majority were running the newly released iPhone software and a carrier file 5.0. Even jailbreak users claim to benefit from the new functionality ahead of time. However, as PCWorld points out, for almost every user who says they have MMS, there are two others, in the same area, that contradict such claims.
