The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards took place last night and, as promised, the ceremony included plenty of surprises from movies, from a sneak peek at the upcoming Michael Jackson docu-film “This Is It†to the highly anticipated, new, extended trailer for “New Moon,†the second installment in the “Twilight Saga,†scheduled for theatrical release in November this year. As Summit Entertainment, the movie studio behind the Twilight phenomenon, promised a while back and MTV confirmed, the new trailer would offer a better look at the much-hyped production, as compared with the first teaser and the subsequent “Meet Jacob Black†trailer. Summit more than delivered on that promise, including in the new release plenty of scenes in Italy, more of Bella trying to cope with the physical pain Edward’s departure caused and the irrational actions she took just so that she could see his face again, and action scenes galore.
