Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless announced on Thursday that it was making investments in delivering 3G multimedia and Internet access to residents in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, so as to meet the increasing demand for such services all around the country. According to the company, consumers in the area can now enjoy “3G data coverage along Harvard Street and Beacon Street in the Coolidge Corner section of Brookline,” through new cell sites deployed in the area. The company also announced that its investments in the New England network rose to around $2.5 billion, and that $105 million had been invested in the area during the first six months of the ongoing year only. Through the enhancements made to the carrier's network in Brookline, Verizon users can enjoy faster web browsing, speedier downloads when it comes to music files or 3D games, video streaming capabilities, video conferencing, the possibility to send emails with attachments, as well as file sharing.!
