TomTom, a provider of navigation solutions and digital maps, has announced that the TomTom app for iPhone navigation is available for immediate download via Apple’s iTunes App Store. A total of 18 apps are available for regions including Brazil, Mexico, Hong Kong, Australia, Eastern Europe (and lots more), with price tags ranging between $49.99 and $139.99. “With the TomTom app for iPhone, millions of iPhone users can now benefit from the same easy-to-use and intuitive interface, turn-by-turn spoken navigation and unique routing technology that our 30 million portable navigation device users rely on every day,†Elias Kabeche, area director Latin America for TomTom, said. “As the world’s leading provider of navigation solutions and digital maps, TomTom is the most natural fit for an advanced navigation application on the iPhone.†The most recent additions, according to TomTom, are apps for Brazil and Mexico from Tele Atlas.
