Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless and the rumors regarding the availability of Samsung's Omnia 2 on its airwaves have made the headlines once again. Previously expected to be pushed on the shelves sometime in mid-October, it seems that the Windows Mobile-based Omnia 2 won't make an appearance at Verizon before November is here. According to a recent article on Phone Arena, the Samsung Omnia 2 i920 will come on the first day of the upcoming month, at least this is what a “reliable source” has unveiled. The fact that this phone will hit Verizon is certain, as Samsung already showcased it with Big Red's logo on it at CTIA, yet no official release date for the handset has emerged until now. However, we should also note that WMExperts says that January might actually be the lucky month. Hopefully not. According to some of the previous rumors, the phone is expected to come with Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system on board, which seems rather strange, consid!
ering the a newer flavor, 6.5, has been already unleashed into the wild.
