Mobile phone maker Motorola is already known to plan on coming to the US market with a second Android-powered mobile phone, following the Motorola Cliq, which will soon come to T-Mobile and is already available for purchase in Europe as Motorola Dext, and now we learn that the handset might also come to the old continent in the near future. The device, dubbed Motorola Sholes (or Droid), has just made a short pit stop at FCC, bearing GSM connectivity. “This equipment is a GSM portable transceiver, which operates in the 850, 900,1800 and 1900 MHz PCS band. It also operates in WCDMA 900 and 2100 MHz and contains GPRS Class 12 and a 2.4 GHz Bluetooth function (Part 15.247). The unit may also be connected to a computer via a USB connection (Part 15 Class B Computing Device Peripheral),” is how the handset is described. Interestingly enough, it seems that Motorola has been trying to get the phone through FCC without people noticing it, and the filing shows the Sholes name!
