Microsoft has started rolling out updates designed to kick up a notch its Windows Update infrastructure. As of August 17th, 2009, the company gave the green light to refreshes for Windows Update, starting the updating process that will span over the course of the next few months. The refresh is designed to catalyze the evolution of the Windows Update and Microsoft services. Microsoft explained that the upgrades to the update infrastructure were necessary in order to ensure that WU and MU would be able to continue delivering refreshes to the companyâ™s software products without problems. âœJust a reminder, we are starting the Windows Update and Microsoft Update service upgrades [on August 17]. The service upgrade will include updates to the online update services and the Windows Update (or Automatic Updates on XP) client code installed on your computer,â revealed a member of the MU team.
