Google has just extended the functionality of the Search Options panel it introduced earlier this year with several new filters and options. There are nine new tools available ranging from fewer shopping sites to real-time search, which make Google a much better tool for certain specific searches while at the same time allowing users to sway the emphasis of the search results depending on their needs or preferences. “We've received lots of positive feedback, and we're seeing more and more people using Search Options every day,” Nundu Janakiram, product manager, and Patrick Riley, software engineer, wrote. “Today, we're announcing nine new Search Options tools: past hour, specific date range, more shopping sites, fewer shopping sites, visited pages, not yet visited, books, blogs and news.
