Wireless carrier AT&T announced on Wednesday that it continued the process of upgrading its 3G network with new enhancements in the Colorado Springs area. The operator deployed in that market additional wireless spectrum in the 850 MHz band, which is expected to offer it the possibility to offer better 3G wireless connectivity, as well as to improve the indoor coverage its users enjoy. Moreover, the new enhancement also brings increases in network capacity, so that it can better support the demand for 3G mobile broadband services. According to the wireless operator, the newly deployed high-quality 850 MHz spectrum is aimed mainly at providing better in-building coverage, and AT&T users in Colorado Springs are expected to see improvements in the connectivity to the carrier's 3G network.
