For four years, football star David Beckham has been the main star of the Armani Underwear campaign, but, as it happens to all good things, this collaboration too has come to an end. Armani has officially announced that Beckham will be replaced by yet another hot football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, who will become the star of the campaign in January next year, The Examiner says. Ronaldo will take Beckham’s place once his contract with the fashion house comes to an end, meaning in January 2010. Since David has no intention of continuing modeling, but would rather launch his own line of men’s lingerie, Armani has sought and found just the guy who can fill in his large shoes: Ronaldo, an equally fashionable, hot and good-looking sportsman. The first ads with Cristiano will appear in the spring of 2010, the same report says. David Beckham is not the only one to depart Armani Lingerie to pursue his own interests, as wife Victoria is also said to be looking to break free in!
