Cryptic, the developer, has announced that its MMO Champions Online is set to become free to play for all those interested in superheroes and social gaming for the upcoming weekend. Between Friday, October 30, and Monday, November 2, the video game is open to everyone in an effort made by the show runners to attract a wider audience to their product. In order to take advantage of the Champions Online offer, players need to log into the official site of the MMO, create an account and download the client. Access will be open on Friday. Two days earlier, on October 27, those who are paying a subscription for Champions Online will also be getting access to the Blood Moon Halloween event for the MMO, which will see players fighting along hordes of zombies. It might not be the most original choice of new enemies for superheroes, but the current love for the undead going around the video-gaming world will probably attract more and more people to the title.
