Microsoft is catalyzing the evolution of its Windows Embedded for Point of Service platform with the addition of two new features. Fact is that both Internet Explorer 8 and Silverlight 3 have been available for Windows client operating systems for quite some time, but both applications are only now coming to Windows Embedded POSReady 2009. As of September 2nd, 2009, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) will find that both IE8 and Silverlight 3 are available via ECE for Windows Embedded POSReady 2009. “Windows Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) for Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 offers partners new opportunities for innovation and extending the reach of online services to increase exposure and provide value to users.
