Activision announced yesterday that Xbox Live Avatars would be incorporated into Guitar Hero 5, with players being able to use them as part of their in-game band and with full customization options available, thus controlling every aspect of their appearance.Just after the publisher made the announcement, a lot of people begun asking why Xbox Avatars were given preferential treatment over the Nintendo Wii-powered Miis and over the Home Avatars available to those who own a PlayStation 3 gaming console from Sony. Activision felt compelled to jump in and offer some clarification related to the issue.A spokesperson for Activision Blizzard told Eurogamer that “While there are no plans to have Home Avatars for the PS3 version, the US has confirmed that Wii owners will be able to rock out with their Miis in Mii Freestyle Mode.â€Activision is also saying that if Xbox 360 users have customized their Avatar with stuff from the new Avatar Marketplace, all will be taken from the vir!
