The San Diego Comic-Con was in full swing last week, culminating with the weekend period when many video game-themed panels were held by major companies about franchises that enjoyed a cult-like following. One such example is the Resident Evil panel, which was held by Capcom and which enjoyed the presence of Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi. He took the stage and began to answer many of the fans' questions. One of them though made the developer a bit nervous. He was asked by a gamer about the possibilities of RE6 to be a complete series reboot for the horror survival franchise and if Takeuchi's team was already working on it. The Capcom producer was a bit vague in his answer, as he revealed that nobody had been chosen to produce the next Resident Evil game, and that he and fellow franchise veteran Masachika Kawata were playing blackjack in order to see who would end up at the helm of the project.
