It has been confirmed that a fourth movie based on the Resident Evil franchise is now in production and will be launched in cinemas next year. The title of the project is Afterlife and the director will be Paul W.S. Anderson, who has also written the script.Milla Jovovich is set to be returning to the role of Alice, the main character of the movie series, while Ali Larter, best known from Heroes, will be playing the role of Claire Redfield. Wenthworth Miller, who has a lot of exposure thanks to the new Terminator movie and Prison Break, should make an appearance as Chris Redfield.Other roles in the movie have gone to Boris Kodjoe, Spencer Locke and Kim Coate. Wesker, who is set to be Claire’s main antagonist, will be played by Shawn Roberts.The Resident Evil movies have been among the few videogame adaptations that managed to build their own image and create a character, like Alice, that can sustain a series.
