The plane was, in fact, hijacked by a Bolivian man who acted alone. There were no explosives found on board, and the man claims to have been acting as a messenger from God, trying to warn the President about a pending catastrophe. However, the situation was diffused within two hours, and Mexican officials have been receiving a great deal of praise for their speedy and judicious handling of the situation.
