Music games are extremely profitable for the companies that make and publish them, as most of you might already have figured out, given the fact that we are bombarded with newer and newer iterations for titles like Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Another way for companies to get off with charging full game prices for titles that don't necessarily bring new improvements is by branding a game with a specific band. We've seen Guitar Hero: Metallica and we’ll get to play The Beatles: Rock Band, but there hasn't always been a lot of success associated with them. That is why Activision, owner of the Guitar Hero franchise, will employ an extremely interesting strategy when it will launch Guitar Hero 5, its latest full installment, and Guitar Hero: Van Halen, which will be a tribute to the famous rock band. It seems that anyone who will pre-order GH5 before its September 1 release date, will get a copy of Guitar Hero: Van Halen, which isn't set to arrive in stores until December 22.!
