Microsoft is pushing the Wave 3 release of Windows Live components to the next level with the introduction of updates affecting the entire gamma of applications designed to bridge Windows and the Cloud. The email client that is since the start of 2009 an integral part of the Windows Live Essentials package will be bumped to version 14.0.8089.0726. Windows Live Essentials users now have the chance to upgrade the formerly default email client of the Windows operating system. Users must understand that Microsoft has failed to breathe a single word on the evolution of Windows Live Essentials, or that of Windows Live Mail in particular. However, Jonathan Kay, a Microsoft MVP, did manage to provide the download link for the Windows Live Mail 2009 14.0.8089.0726 update. According to Kay, the refresh is designed as a QFE (Quick Fix Engineering) for the email client, as well as for additional Windows Live Essentials clients.
