A new user interface included into Samsung Intrepid, courtesy of Microsoft, allows users to perform search queries into Bing using nothing more than simple voice commands. Although a full QUERTY mobile phone, Samsung Intrepid makes it easier for customers to not only find what they’re looking for on the Internet via Bing, but to also streamline various mundane tasks, such as writing a message or calling a certain contact, requiring only a single key to be touched. The technology that makes this possible, Tellme, comes from Microsoft â€" well, in fact from a company that the Redmond giant acquired in early 2007. “Sprint Wireless announced their new Samsung Intrepid phone with a new voice user interface from Tellme. This new interface will allow you to search the Web with Bing by speaking your search query, compose a text message or even dial a contact by simply talking instead of typing,” revealed Dariusz Paczuski, senior director, Mobile.
