IBM has just made public System z Solution Edition Series, offering packages that come to help customers deploy new enterprise workloads. This series of tools is accompanied by additional new programs designed to ease the financial burden of migrating from Sun and HP servers to IBM's System z, which is based on a Linux platform.As a response to market demand, IBM is attempting to make System z more attractive to customers especially by offering a superior quality at a lower price.
