As Research in Motion (RIM) is getting ready for the official release of BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac, the management tool has already been leaked to the web. “BlackBerry_Desktop_Manager_english language.dmg” is freely available for download via file-sharing sites like MegaUpload and RapidShare. The DMG file contains both the application installer, as well as a tool to uninstall BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac. RIM has recently announced that BlackBerry Desktop Software is coming to Mac in September. “With BlackBerry Desktop Software you'll be able sync your iTunes playlists and personal information like contacts, tasks and appointments,” the company states on its website. Additionally, users of the manager will be able to “install new software, games, and more.
