Singer Chris Brown has gone into full damage-control mode following last week’s interview with Larry King, which failed to get the kind of response he anticipated, and having been publicly reprimanded by Oprah Winfrey. As regards that last part, Brown tells People magazine he is now ready to face the music for what he did to then-girlfriend Rihanna back in February, and to seek counseling if that’s what it takes to do so. This statement comes shortly after Oprah reprimanded him via a press statement, scolding him for saying that she should have had his back in the media, especially since he once performed at her charity school in Africa. In response, the television personality urged him to seek professional help and not expect the world to forget that he had been physically abusive towards a woman just because he happened to be a celebrity.
