HTTP:: Verizon Bound HTC XV6975 Passes Through GCF

According to the latest news on the Web, a new HTC device is getting ready to show up in Verizon Wireless' lineup, namely the XV6975, which has just been approved by the Global Certification Forum (GCF). Although for the time being little is known about the new smartphone, the “XV†part in its name suggests that it will come to the mobile phone carrier, the same as other HTC devices bearing the XV naming matrix did in the past. Moreover, the phone should come to the operator's lineup as a Windows Mobile-powered smartphone, and there are some voices over the Web that suggest this device would look very much like the newly launched HTC Touch Pro2, and that the two would actually be one and the same handset. Moreover, the new handset is reportedly a world phone, as it comes with quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and single-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 2100 MHz. The fact that the new Windows Mobile-based handset is a world phone is more than obvious, as Verizon features !
