CNN.C: Ex Liberian leader slams malicious charges

Former Liberian President Charles Taylor has taken the stand Tuesday as the first defense witness at his war crimes trial at The Hague. Taylor, who ruled from 1997 to 2003, is accused of fueling a bloody civil war in neighboring Sierra Leone that led to widespread murder, rape and mutilation.
