Hamrick Software, maker of VueScan for Mac OS X, has updated its flagship product to include new and improved auto-focus on Nikon cameras, as well as improved 'Input' in a couple of situations. VueScan assists Mac users in producing quality scans, allowing tweaks to color balance, and more. With the release of version 8.5.30 almost two weeks back, Hamrick Software fixed a problem with feeders on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), while adding support for additional Epson scanners. New in version 8.5.31, released just last week, is the added support for the 'Input | Auto skew' option and the compatibility with most printed pages that are skewed. This week’s release, VueScan 8.5.32, actually improves that 'Input | Auto skew' option, as well as the auto-focus feature on Nikon CoolScan 8000 / 9000. The rest of the changes include bug fixes, listed by Hamrick Software as follows: - Fixed problem with Brother scanners on Mac OS X 10.6; - Fixed problem with HP G4050 infrared clean!
