Vuze, the popular Mac OS X BitTorrent client, has been updated to version 4.2.0.8 adding drive detection for the PlayStation Portable, less CPU usage for seeding, UI fixes, and more. The piece of software is free to download and install on any kind of Mac, as long as it’s running Mac OS X 10.3 or later. According to the release notes for Vuze (formerly Azureus) 4.2.0.8, new features include the aforementioned Drive Detection one for Devices in Mac OS X (for PSP devices), as well as the addition of a factory option to allow switchable unchoke algorithms. Other changes comprise less CPU usage for Seeding Rules, the ability to only create the transcode directories when required, and a properly updated OS X platform component. Corrected bugs include: fixed Speedtest not working; OS X 10.6 support â€" opening torrent from file; OS X 10.6 support â€" not getting data from connected peers; and fixed deadlock during UI initialisation.
