The iPhone Dev Team, known for its QuickPwn and PwnageTool iPhone jaibreak applications, has released an updated version of the tool used to unlock iPhone 3G and iPhone 3G S devices, ultrasn0w. The new release works regardless of the jailbreak method used by iPhone owners. Softpedia doesn't condone jailbreaking / unlocking the iPhone. On its blog, the team posts both short and long versions of describing how ultrasn0w 0.9 came about, what it does, and so on. The short version, as you would expect, is a list of features typical to the tool. First off, the team gladly confirms that, “ultrasn0w version 0.9 is out!  We believe it solves pretty much all of the various random issues that have been reported.” Then, it moves on with the features. The list goes as follows. - Works on both 3G and 3GS; - Works on hacktivated devices; - Works regardless of how you jailbroke your device; - Doesn’t patch any mach-o binary whatsoever.
