HTTP:: AVG Starts a Global CEO Search

AVG Technologies, currently a leader in providing Internet security solutions and having more than 80 million users throughout 167 countries, announced on Friday the launch of a global search for finding an appropriate CEO that would help the company grow even further. Being presently privately held, the company's board of directors believes that correct organizational investments would enable AVG to be positioned for a public offering in the upcoming years. The Chairman of the board, Dale Fuller, mentioned that the Internet security arena came with more and more opportunities as time went by. He also stated that, since AVG had gained so much popularity lately, the proper investments in additional resources would allow it to capitalize on increasing opportunities in the global market.
