During the winter of 2008, a lot of high-quality video games appeared. Some of them were sequels, while others were completely new properties that seemed extremely interesting to a lot of people and had quite the hype built up around them. Sadly, a lot of gamers only managed to buy sequels to already established franchises, like Gears of War or Fallout, opting to just rent or buy second-hand copies of other titles, like Dead Space. This made companies more cautious, especially in these troubled economic times, with their launch policy.  As we've seen, a lot of titles, most of them being new projects, have already been scheduled to appear at the beginning of 2010 instead of being released during the holiday season at the end of this year. The most recent example is Platinum Games' Bayonetta hack-and-slash brawler, which has now received a concrete release date in January 2010.  This announcement shattered hopes of Western gamers to get their hands on the saucy game this!
